01 · Manifesto

Ingenuity belongs to humans.

We're not shy about using AI. Build pipelines, asset prep, boilerplate, bug triage — the ten thousand tiny chores that used to eat our weeks. If a machine can do it, a machine does it.

But the things that make a game worth playing — the story, the jokes, the beauty, the one-more-turn feeling — don't come from a machine. They come from people. So that's where our time goes. All of it.

Machines can grind. They can't dream.

Tiny by choice.

Redbear started life as a software consultancy, shipping other people's ideas. Somewhere between the standups and the spreadsheets, we remembered what got us into code in the first place: games. Now that's all we do.

We're a small, fully remote crew operating from across Africa. Small enough that every game gets our full attention — and stubborn enough to make it beautiful.
